Happy New Year 2008!

January 1, 2008

The New Year is here and it’s time to be “Great in 2008!” Are you ready to make it your best ever? Would you like it to be your best year for health, and happiness?

If you want to predict the future, you must create it. Start be creating the perfect year in your mind. If you close your eyes and picture what you want to achieve over the next 12 months, you would be practicing visualization. Have you taken the time to think about your dreams and goals for 2008? Have you drafted up your WISHLIST?

That’s a vital step to preparing yourself for your best year ever. Think it and ink it. This is when you write down anything and everything you want to achieve. Write down everything and anything as if you knew you absolutely could not fail. There are no unrealistic goals, only unrealistic deadlines. The moment you write down your goal, you have begun to create it and take action toward it’s attainment.

Experts say that the simple act of writing down your resolutions for the New Year, gives them 10x more power and increases your odds of success ten fold.

Action T-N-T=>Today-Not-Tomorrow!

Take the time to write down your Goals and Resolutions for the New Year. Prepare to be Great in 2008!

I can’t wait to see all of you again this week!

Ft. Lauderdale Trip

December 13, 2007

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to train at Martial Arts University International, where I picked up some awesome training. Had the pleasure to learn from Professor Gene Dunn, a Renzo Gracie Black Belt, who shared his outstanding BJJ warm-up routine. We have implemented that routine already…amazingly you can get really warmed up for class!!! I also picked up some awesome basic BJJ skills and drills that we will be covering during the next few weeks…

Also we have made an alliance with Sensei Jason Gabriele, who is a dynamic and high level Martial Arts Performer…he will be visiting us in February 2008 to share with us his knowledge of Performance Martial Arts…I am very excited about this…

I would like to extend a “Great Job” to our Junior Orange/Green Belt class for their great spirit, hustle and enthusiasm…way to go…keep up the great work!!!

Black Belt Testing & More

November 15, 2007

The recent Black Belt Testing was the toughest so far…10 hours of physical and mental focus…Friday night got kicked off with an explanation as to why everyone wanted to become a BB…and the content was quite emotional…everyone seemed to have their own reason for achieving BB. It was interesting to watch the juniors listen to the adults…they were very mesmerized…Saturday started with a 1.5 mile run, followed by an hour of sparring, an hour of GJJ sparring, followed by a performance of self-defense skills…All Muay Thai and Basic combinations were reviewed…add a few hundred pushups sprinkled here and there…wow…what a show of perseverance and indomitable spirit…it was inspirational!

Royce’s seminar last night took a “Street Self-Defense” Theme…that is the original function of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, as Grandmaster Helio Gracie developed this system as a self defense art…it was interesting to see how close the variations are from self-defense to sport jiu-jitsu…Royce’s ability to show his art with such fluidity and calmness speaks of his confidence level in his art. Congrats to all the new Blue Belts…Great Job! Students all looked very focused and on their “A” game last night…great job guys…
