Jiu-Jitsu and Weapons Camps During the Holiday Break!

The kids are out on Christmas Break for 2 full weeks. Lets keep them training to channel all that energy! Don’t forget our Holiday Camps next Monday & Tuesday from 8:30am-1pm!

The Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Kids Camp is Monday, December 29th. The next day, on Tuesday the 30th, it’s our very popular Weapons Camp! (Don’t worry…..). The cost per child is $49; Multiple Camp and Family Discounts are available.

Bring the kids to USBA for some karate fun, learn weaponry and sharpen their self-defense skills! To make it even more irresistable – we’ll serve lunch AND they’re out of the house for 4-1/2 hours!!!

Graduation Information this Saturday, Dec. 20

This week was “Spotlight Week”, which many of you have received your 1st black stripe! Congratulations!!! You are halfway to earning your next belt! Many of you have received 2 black stripes and a red stripe, which means you will be receiving your new belt on Saturday! Awesome job on your hard work and effort!

If you are promoting this Saturday, please do not forget to turn in your Intent to Promote sheet before Saturday’s graduation. Wear your V-neck uniform and belt, and please remember the schedule:

  • Lil’ Dragons / 10:30am
  • Juniors / 11:30am
  • Teens / 12:30am

Congratulations again – we are very proud of your progress!

P.S. Due to the Graduation Ceremonies, there will be no martial arts classes that day.

Our biggest event of the year is this Saturday, Dec. 6th at 4pm!!! We are showcasing 23 students this Saturday as they receive their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree Blackbelts! This is an exhibition show of demonstrations from the staff, from our Dream Team, and our recent graduates!!! I highly recommend attending and watching the Blackbelt Spectacular. It is our greatest pride to graduate our students who have earned and worked hard to achieve their Blackbelts!  This is a show you don’t want to miss!! Tickets are on sale now!  El Toro High School, Charger Hall.

USBA Dojo Guidelines

Welcome to US Blackbelt Academy!!!

To maintain a high level of safety in our dojo and to create a positive and respectful Martial Arts training environment, we  request our students and their guests follow these guidelines.

· Always demonstrate your respect with a  formal “Bow” as you enter and exit the dojo and matted training areas. 

· Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class.

· Please place your shoes neatly in the shoe rack. 

· Please ensure you check in on the computer.

· Respect the property and belongings of others.

· Keep uniform neat and clean with patches properly sewn. Please learn to properly tie your belt & uniform.

· Practice good personal hygiene habits. Keep uniforms neat, clean and odor free.

· Practice your Black Belt respect by being well mannered and courteous to others. 

· Introduce your guests or visitors to an Instructor and show them guest seating. Please no guests on the mat, remain in seating area only.

· Children should always be supervised and attended by an adult or parent unless in class or pre-class warm-up.

· Basic program students should be training two times per week. Leadership team students should be training three times per week.

· Please notify your Instructor if you will be missing class.

· Demonstrate proper posture and attitude.  Exhibit QT “Quick Take Off” and a positive response.

· For student safety, jewelry should not be worn in training areas.

· Please no gum chewing on the mat.

· Please place all Cell phones on Vibrate Mode, please answer all calls outside the dojo.

· Please supervise all children in playroom at all times, and please clean up after your children before leaving the dojo.

· Students and Parents should memorize our Student Creed and recite it loud and proud at the beginning of each class. Learning, understanding and applying it’s meaning will enhance your progress.

· Train hard - Eat Healthy - Enjoy the results!

· Enter the class with energy and demonstrate your enthusiasm for learning.
