USBA Online Forum is Open!
January 18, 2008
Another building block of the USBA Pride website is complete….more or less! Take a look at the USBA forum. We thought about calling it “The Mat”. We thought about calling it “The Ring”. But in the end, we’ll just call it “Forum”, and invite all students to visit, read the posts, or “threads”, as they are called in forum-speak. Once you’ve registered, you can create your own topics, or answer questions for your fellow students.
The Forum will also be a good place to find surveys and polls, and will give us, the students of USBA, opportunities to help Master Kravitz and his staff improve our school based upon our feedback and input.
Goals We Set…Are Goals We Get!
January 11, 2008
Almost everyone has hopes and dreams for 2008 be their best year ever. Our advice is that you take the time to put those wishes and dreams down on paper. It’s called a WISHLIST because that’s exactly what it is, a list of wishes, hopes and dreams.
If you had a magic wand in your hand and could create the perfect life for yourself in the next 3-5 years, what would it look like? Where would you be living? What would you be doing? What kind of shape would you be in? What Martial Art skills would you possess?
Writing down your wishes and dreams is a great exercise. It’s a lot of fun and it helps you to start thinking about the goals that will move you in the direction of your dreams. The next step is to create your GOALS LIST for 2008. These are goals that you want to achieve in the next 6-12 months.
Experts agree the moment you take action on your dreams, you have begun the process of goal achievement. The first action should always be to write them your goals down on paper. Better known as, “Think it, Ink it!” Never leave the sight of a goal without taking action. Goal setting is such an essential and powerful tool for success in the Martial Arts and in life.
Our Black Belt Success System is a great example of goal setting in action. Becoming a Black Belt Champion takes an average of 3-5 years for those that set their sights on it early. This would be considered a long range goal. The best way to achieve a long range goal is to break it down into bite sized portions. You do this by creating short and mid-range goals that lead you toward your ultimate long range objective, just like the step by step process in the journey to Black Belt.
Let’s make it a great week!!!

Taeguek Forms
January 11, 2008
Except for those of you who are really gifted, we all need plenty of practice and reinforcement of our martial arts techniques! So, with the help of Master Kravitz and his awesome staff, we have now posted two (2) Taeguek forms on the USBA.tv website. To view the videos, Taeguek #4 and #7, which are required learning for attaining black belt promotion, click here …
Please pay special attention to forms number four and seven, Sah Jang and Chil Jang. These are the forms needed to complete the USBA Black Belt Curriculum. If you need any help with the forms, ask one of the senior belts or staff at USBA.
Ralek Gracie Seminar: Jan. 16th
January 9, 2008
Our school is fortunate to host a seminar with Ralek Gracie, who is visiting USBA on November 14th, at 7:30pm. He will be teaching, of course, the techniques of his family’s art, Brazilian Jui-Jitsu.
All USBA students are welcome to attend. Sign-up sheets are at our front desk, and the cost of the seminar is $50. But space is limited, so please sign up early to avoid missing this wonderful opportunity to improve your Jiu-Jitsu.
Question: What is USBA Pride™?
January 4, 2008
Answer: It’s our school’s new website!
After careful thought, numerous strategy meetings, and many long hours of preparation, it’s finally here…..usbapride.com is launched!
Master Kravitz had a vision: to develop an online “dojang” for our school that combined the best qualities of our “bricks and mortar” USBA with the best elements of a strong online presence. We think we have met his expectations with a great foundation to build our online school.
Happy New Year 2008!
January 1, 2008
The New Year is here and it’s time to be “Great in 2008!” Are you ready to make it your best ever? Would you like it to be your best year for health, and happiness?
If you want to predict the future, you must create it. Start be creating the perfect year in your mind. If you close your eyes and picture what you want to achieve over the next 12 months, you would be practicing visualization. Have you taken the time to think about your dreams and goals for 2008? Have you drafted up your WISHLIST?
That’s a vital step to preparing yourself for your best year ever. Think it and ink it. This is when you write down anything and everything you want to achieve. Write down everything and anything as if you knew you absolutely could not fail. There are no unrealistic goals, only unrealistic deadlines. The moment you write down your goal, you have begun to create it and take action toward it’s attainment.
Experts say that the simple act of writing down your resolutions for the New Year, gives them 10x more power and increases your odds of success ten fold.
Action T-N-T=>Today-Not-Tomorrow!
Take the time to write down your Goals and Resolutions for the New Year. Prepare to be Great in 2008!
I can’t wait to see all of you again this week!
Best Regards,
Master Kravitz
